Yoga Classes

Working time

Our beginners Yoga Classes are excellent for staff wellbeing.

These bespoke-tailored Yoga Classes are based on the traditional Indian form of meditative exercise that’s been changing lives for more than 5000 years. It uses controlled breathing whilst building strength and flexibility to boost our physical and mental wellbeing.

A typical yoga class lasts a minimum of 30 minutes and up to one hour and is made up of a series of postures which are flowing movement routines or balanced poses, during which breathing is controlled and the mind is stilled. Regular yoga classes build core strength and an increased awareness of our bodies and how we position and control them. This means our posture and gait is automatically improved, the benefits of a healthy weight are appreciated and flexibility and balance are increased.

Our yoga classes are drawn from the many different varieties of yoga ranging from the gentler Hatha end of the spectrum through Dru yoga (a recent off-shoot blending affirmations and mantras) to the more energetic Ashtanga and even Hot Yoga hosted in saunas and designed for sweat!

Our yoga classes are clinically proven to be a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance. Scientific studies show that regular yoga classes are beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains – especially lower back pain. They are also effective at tackling depression and stress.

All forms of yoga will help, but because exact positioning of limbs and specific control of the breath is important, you can imagine that learning generic routines at the back of a large class is not as beneficial. That’s why Zen Ten Spa offers it’s introductory programme of life-enhancing Yoga Classes. These are held in small groups ( 4 or less) or 1-1 tuition designed especially round your needs with the exclusive tutoring which ensures you are getting the very best from your yoga classes.
